KWBAT Evaluate mastery of Unit Learning Objectives

DO NOW: Pull out the lab from Last week. Work with a table mate to ensure that you have the volume, mass, and density of 10 different rocks.

Once you are finish complete the Steps 6 and 7 with your table mate. Refer to the blog entry from last thursday for list of common mineral densities.

You will have 20 minutes to complete this activity. Watch the Board for the Timer. If you are finished place the lab report to the corner of your desk.

Step 1: Once you finish place the Chromebook to the corner of your desk. Pull out all your notes from this unit. Today we will get to see what topics we are having difficulty with and what areas we are doing well in with our current unit. Before we start Mr. Keys will review the new grading and homework policy please track Mr. Keys at this time.

Step 2: Access the Performance Measurement Assessments via Illuminate

You should see 6 PMAs (Performace Measurement Assessments) with the follwoing titles;

-Convection Currents

-Minerals

-Rocks

-Continental Drift

-Earth's Layers

-Tectonic Plates

Take your time to complete each PMA and write your score on the Learning Objective Tracker

Mastery on any Topic is a Score of 70% or better.

If you dont achieve mastery on a particular topic. Go to the poster board with the title of the PMA and write your name.

If you achieve Mastery on All PMA's come see Mr. Keys

This should take the bulk of the class period.

If you finish you can start the homework

Homework is to Read the Sea-Floor Spreading reading and complete the cornell Notes
