DO NOW:

Yesterday we attempted to make a model "To Scale" of our Science classroom to show how scientists use math and science process skills to create models for things that are sometimes too big or too small to study or experiment on directly. In attempt to clarify some of the confusion Today's DO NOW is taking a closer look at how scientist really use "To Scale" models to study the world around us.

Read the What Makes Up Most of the Solar System Article

Watch the "To Scale" The Solar System

After watching the Video complete the question set below;

Read the What is a Scientific Model Reading and complete the questions below in a google document and submit via google Classroom

1. What process do scientists use to develop models?

2. Why is modeling important? Cite evidence from the text

3. What factors are models judged on?

4. Do models ever change? Why?

Once you finish put a tweet on the window or board about what you learned about Models in Science.

Use the hashtag #ModelBehavior
